Alicia Karr

President

As President, Alicia leads the strategic vision, values, and long-term plans for Meyer Architects and Meyer Design.  Prior to her role as President, Alicia served as CFO and Executive of Vice President at Meyer for 12 years.  Alicia takes her leadership skills beyond Meyer as an active member of both the Philadelphia Architecture Community and the Philadelphia non-profit community.  Currently, Alicia serves as a board member at the Center for Architecture and Design and is on the board of the Nationalities Service Center as Development Committee Chair. Alicia was previously a board member at the Arts & Business Council of Philadelphia, and the League of Women Voters of Philadelphia.

Phil Burkett, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB

Principal, Corporate Practice Leader

As Meyer’s Corporate, Life Science, and Healthcare Leader, Phil’s dedication is evident in all that he does, whether it is project managing one of Meyer’s largest clients, developing a network of real estate professionals or giving back to his community. Phil oversees our corporate, life science, and healthcare architecture projects across the country. Phil serves on the NAIOP National Real Estate Education Board, the Montgomery County Economic Development Board, the board for Variety the Children's Charity of Philadelphia, is on the board of directors for AIA Philadelphia, serves as membership ambassador for the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, is a steering committee member for Builds BIO, and is a thesis advisor for architecture students at Temple University.

Michael Stanczak, AIA, NCARB

Executive Vice President

As Principal and Director of Operations, Mike is responsible for our most valuable asset, our people. He consistently strives to make Meyer a dynamic place to work, cultivating a fun and creative environment supportive of professional growth. A natural teacher and coach, Mike challenges and inspires our people to meet their goals and raise the bar on design.  Meyer annually serves as a design juror and thesis advisor at Drexel University.

Dan King, AIA

Principal, Senior Living Practice Leader

As Meyer’s Living Studio Leader, Dan is a nationally recognized expert in the Senior Living and Multi-Family industry. He and his team regularly speak at and attend conferences and seminars nationwide. Dan grew Meyer’s Living Studio from a small niche team to a nationally recognized studio of professionals solely focused on senior living and multi-family architecture and interior design. His passion for architecture combined with his compassion for others carries him biannually overseas to perform pro-bono architectural work in underdeveloped countries.

George founded Meyer Architects in 1987 with a vision of designing places of enduring value. 35 years later the next generation of passionate architects and leaders continue to make this vision a reality.

George is a visionary who has brought many award-winning projects to successful completion with his clients. He has played a pivotal role in developing the region’s sustainability commitment through his role as founding member of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council and his passion for WELL building standards.
